Journey To One Million (Prologue)

Updated: Jul 8, 2023

I will add one grain of rice to this jar for every dollar I make.

My aim is to get to 1 million grains to complete this challenge.

I like to catalog my own self-improvement. Since I have been doing the same with my health and fitness, I figured why not catalog my Journey to One Million? As the name implies, I will be logging my journey to making $1,000,000 dollars. I will start recording my progress in August.

Why do I want to make $1,000,000?

I want to inspire others to work towards their financial freedom and the ease of mind it brings. I want to travel and experience the world, and live my life freely. I deeply want to help my friends and family out, and I ultimately, just want my time back. I feel like I wasted my twenties and didn’t accomplish or get the majority of the things I wanted. It’s not about lambos, mansions, or whatever. It’s about helping myself and others. Giving time, and ease of mine for myself, my health, my hobbies, my friends, and my loved ones.

I also realized that I have never seen a faceless YouTube financial journey video series. Only those guys who are on camera, so I want to inspire the video essayists out there.

What will the rules be? See this rice jar?

  • I add one grain of rice to a jar for every $1 I make.

  • I will consume it at the end of the challenge when I make $1,000,000.

  • In order for me to add a grain of rice to the jar

  • It has to go into my savings account

  • The reason why is when I make profit, I'm going to have to put some of it into my bank account or leave it in another account for tax purposes

  • I also might spend some of that money on monthly expenses or whatever else. It's taxed too obviously.

  • I will split up the video by how I make money

  • And of course note how it will benefit you

There will also be a subscriber count jar as well.

  • While it's easy to count money as it all ends up in one place

  • It's hard deciding how to count subscriber count, because I have multiple social media accounts

  • I have YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and Medium.

  • I might add ones as I come along, but right now, let’s focus on YouTube and Tiktok

  • So this subscriber jar represents the subscribers I have on the FastNao youtube channel

So I hope to inspire you, give you insight, and to have you follow me on this journey.
