The History of Kuki Cha (Twig Tea)

Kukicha is a Japanese tea made with a blend of stems, stalks, and twigs. It can be in a blend with green tea, or by itself as a herbal tea.

Kuki means Stem, while Cha means tea. This tea was invented in Japan to sell to local formers, using the remaining parts of plants after their leaves and flowers have been used up.

Since they use the parts with less tea, they have less caffeine and a more mild flavored. Its definitely one of my favorites. What do you like to use Twig tea for?
